Good Morning to You Too!
Good morning Mr. Motorcycle/Post Man!
I enjoyed how you flew past me and then popped a wheelie. I enjoyed even more how you flipped your visor up and checked me out. Does that work with all of the ladies?
I believe the best part was when you tied your shoes trying to look real cool on your motorcycle. I wonder if we will run into each other again. Even more, I wonder if you will pop another one for me.
Where Should You Live?
Grumps wasn't sure where he wanted to go with his career so it would be my job that would take us to the new city. I threw out resumes and applications all over the US. It was like playing the lottery. Where would we land?
Since that big move from South America back to the States we have moved once again. I love where we live now. I enjoy the big city life with anything and everything at your fingertips. I don't like life being so fast and expensive. How nice would it be to have land, at least a little more than our patch outside our house.
So I stumbled upon this today. It is http://www.findyourspot.com. You take a little quiz that helps find that perfect place to live. My results threw out random places but all cities. At one point it had given me my lovely home where we are now. I will have to have Grumps take this fun little quiz.
I am interested to see if life would be different for you.

Spring has finally sprung. I LOVE IT!
I love having my windows and door opened in my classroom.
I love the trees just about to bust with leaves.
I love the fresh smell that the air brings.
I love the breeze that blows with the warm temperatures.
I love waiting expectantly for Grump's tulips to bloom.
I love having the desire to exercise outside.
I love watching Itsy get so excited about the new smells.
I love the countdown towards spring break and then summer.
Have you got Spring Fever?

Heaven's to Betsy.
Goodness greif of gracious.
Oh my goodness.
Kiss my grits.
Love on me.
I can't even think of all of them. I am sure someone can add to this list.
BUT I learned a new one the other day form one of my students. I heard it again tonight on tv. Simmer Down.
I just love that. It is so perfect. I think the perfect part is hearing a little boy with a little lisp howler it across the room to a loud group of students. He was so serious.
What are some of your sayings?

Who Are You?
As an ENFP, you are Extraverted, iNtuative, Feeling , Perceiving.
This makes your primary focus on Extraverted Intuition with Introverted Feeling.
As a weblogger, you may not be consistant in posts. Although, if you find a specific focus on their journal or a very flexible manner of writing, it may be more fufilling. Because you are warm and see so many posibilities in life, you may inspire others to follow in your footsteps with a journal.Relationships:
ENFPs take their relationships very seriously, but also approach them with a childlike enthusiasm and energy. They seek and demand authenticity and depth in their personal relationships, and will put forth a lot of effort into making things work out. They are warm, considerate, affirming, nurturing, and highly invested in the health of the relationship. They have excellent interpersonal skills, and are able to inspire and motivate others to be the best that they can be. Energetic and effervescent, the ENFP is sometimes smothering in their enthusiasm, but are generally highly valued for their genuine warmth and high ideals.
Most ENFPs will exhibit the following strengths with regards to relationships issues:
- Good communication skills
- Very perceptive about people's thought and motives
- Motivational, inspirational; bring out the best in others
- Warmly affectionate and affirming
- Fun to be with - lively sense of humor, dramatic, energetic, optimistic
- Strive for "win-win" situations
- Driven to meet other's needs
- Usually loyal and dedicated
- Tendency to be smothering
- Their enthusiasm may lead them to be unrealistic
- Uninterested in dealing with "mundane" matters such as cleaning, paying bills, etc.
- Hold onto bad relationships long after they've turned bad
- Extreme dislike of conflict
- Extreme dislike of criticism
- Don't pay attention to their own needs
- Constant quest for the perfect relationship may make them change relationships frequently
- May become bored easily
- Have difficulty scolding or punishing others
The ENFP needs to be given positive assurance and affirmation. More than one ENFP has been known to "go fishing" for compliments. They like to hear from their significant others that they are loved and valued, and are willing and eager to return the favor. They enjoy lavishing love and affection on their mates, and are creative and energetic in their efforts to please. The ENFP gets a lot of their personal satisfaction from observing the happiness of others, and so is generally determined to please and serve their partners.
Although two well-developed individuals of any type can enjoy a healthy relationship, ENFP's natural partner is the INTJ, or the INFJ. ENFP's dominant function of Extraverted Intuition is best matched with a partner whose dominant function is Introverted Intuition.
(Grumps needs to take this!)
In the workplace or other casual relationship environments, the ENFP is likely to get along well with almost all other types of people. ENFPs are genuinely interested in people, and are highly perceptive about them, to the point where they're able to understand and relate to all of the personality types with relative ease. They like to see the best in others, and are likely to bring out the best in others.
For close friendships, ENFPs are especially drawn to other iNtuitive Feeling types, and to other Extraverts who are also enthusiastic about life. Like the other iNtuitive Feeling types, the ENFP needs authenticity and depth in their close relationships. They're likely to have friends from all walks of life who they feel close to and care about, but will have only a few very close friends with similar ideals to their own. The ENFP also tends to value the company of iNtuitive Thinkers.
Possible Career Paths for the ENFP:
- Politician / Diplomat
- Writer / Journalist
- Television Reporter
- Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, or Computer Specialist
Drink of Choice
This drink could be alcoholic or not. It could be hot or cold.
Now my next question, what makes you want this drink?
Right now I am drinking a nice rum and diet Dr. Pepper cherry vanilla Coke. YUMMY. The rum is Malibu which makes me think of beach and summer. Now if I could choice the perfect drink right now, it would be a pina colada with Jamaican rum. Sweet and perfect.
Come on, tell me your wish!~

Roll Off Your Back
I know that is easier said than done but MAN at least try. Petty behavior drives me crazy. Holding grudges is toxic to you and all around you.
Can you tell that it all just drives me crazy?
I am going to take I's advice: I am an island!

You all know by now how nosy I can be. I love to be in everyone's business. I love hearing a good story. I love being sneaky and in it all.
I also love trying to play matchmaker. Grumps doesn't like it. I have tried a few times with my best friend. Okay I mean, I have tried in the fact that every available or good looking guy I see I think, "I wonder if they would work for her?" Grumps always just grunts and tells me to mind my own business.
There has been one person that I have tried to connect with her. But it is all a little complicated. She doesn't live near me. In fact she lives FAR away. The guy doesn't live near me either. So trying to work this one out is a little difficult to say the least. I thought that it was still worth a try.
In the end it might just be working. I will leave that for another day.
Is there anyone else out there in this world who is as nosy as I? Anyone love to play matchmaker? Anyone singing, "Matchmaker, matchmaker" from Fiddler on the Roof?

It should be interesting to see what you all come up with!

Today in my class, out of the blue, one of my students asked me a very good question.
"Mrs. Chickenhead, is eating your hobby?"
I couldn't help but smile and say...
"I guess you could say that it is."
I love kids!

A Little Stuffed Up
It is amazing how being just a little stuffed up and ears hurting can totally effect your day. (Is it effect of affect? I struggle with this EVERYTIME I go to use this word.)
It is amazing how my little attitude issues make my day STINK. Nothing looks good. Everyone ticks me off.
Days like these make me want to stay in bed forever.
Today was a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!
Okay it wasn't that bad but it for sure wasn't my favorite!

Now add up the total number of points.
OVER 60! POINTS: Others see you as someone they should "handle with
care." You 're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely
dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you,
but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved
51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile,
rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make
decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and
adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes
chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company
because of the excitement you radiate.
41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing,
practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the

a lot to shake your trust In your friends, but equally that it takes
you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.
21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They
see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady
plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something
impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine
everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide
against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful
UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive,
someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to
make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or
anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that
don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you
well know that you aren't.
I want to know your scores!!!
A Little Slice of Heaven
I have been in such a funk lately. Life has gotten heavy. This weekend was a much needed break.
We headed out to the great lands of the US, the Midwest! The land was rich as it went on forever. The people were deep with such peace. We got to enjoy a little piece of heaven.
We stepped back into the days of old. A bowling alley that was full of history, never conforming, only open on the weekends. No red lights, just caution and stops. Mom and Pop stores with character not fads. Soil rich with hard work from great hands. People who know how to live life to the fullest.
I love living in the city. I love my restaurants and stores. I love that I never have to worry about being bored but I know I miss out on the pleasures of a small town life. Entertainment is created with family and friends. Talk is deep and real.
Thank you for such an amazing weekend. I plan to be back sooner than later. Lurker and Super Dave, get your blog up and going.
*Of course the picture was go0gled. Grumps got too wrapped up into conversations to take pictures.

Falling Off the Face of the Earth
First, I finished my resume and cover letter. I even talked to my current boss. You will be super proud of me since I just emailed it to my hope to be future employer.
Second, I received news over the weekend pertaining to my mother in law's health. It wasn't good news. Grumps was out of town therefore I didn't tell him until he got home. My mind has been consumed.
Finally, we are leaving on Friday to visit Grump's family. It is his grandmother's 90th birthday. We are all meeting, including his mom and dad to celebrate. I just spent 4 hours shopping for pick me ups for his mom and dad and thank you gifts for those we are staying with.
I have no time. I haven't checked blogs in days. I knitted a scarf for Grump's mom. I also have to make her a cozy bag tomorrow. Something she could get into and wrap herself up in just like a big hug when she is down.
Now that my time has run out, I say "Good-bye" until next week. I hope I haven't missed anything major. I sure do miss being nosy!

A Nice Surprise
I grabbed Bookends by Jane Green. I had read a couple others from her. Her main character always isn't the prettiest or thinnest. She usually has self-esteem and guy issues. I was expecting a fun chicklet to read. I was surprised.
The book is still about a woman dealing with her inner self but it is more about friendship. Circle of friends that really are truly family. Yes, there is love but it is a slow go. The way the story flows and the expression of language will keep you reading until the very end. You find yourself relating to Cath and yet also wanting to save her from herself.
If you need a good read that doesn't require major thinking but leaves you with a smile, this is a book for you!
A Breakfast for Champions
Chips and onion dip!!! Next will be the last of my dessert from the other night. Lunch will be pizza.
I love being healthy!!!
Friday, March 03, 2006
I am embarrassed. I have an itchy scalp. The itchy is now turning into white flakes.
I have thin, fine hair. I NEVER have scalp issues. I had to actually go out and by scalp shampoo.
Anyone else have a head problem?
Sour cream and onion dip
A bottle of wine
and my laptop.
Oh I forgot my BED!
I will have a better attitude! Grumps is gone. It is just me and the dog. I am not leaving the house until Sunday for church.
Wednesday, March 01, 2006
That is me these days. I don't know if it is because I just had a wonderful weekend with great friends and had to go back to a job that I am not very fond of.
OR I am still feeling a little sick from my cold the other day that I prayed for so I could call in sick from my job that isn't my favorite.
MAYBE it is because Grumps has been busy with work.
COULD it be I am still playing the 'waiting game'.
I am need to get healthy again and I am SOOO missing my bad foods!
It is forever until summer vacation.
I am seeing a pattern here. MY JOB! I am just not happy these days. I am not happy with the kids, my coworkers, any of it. I think I need a change. I have been here for 4 years. Should I transfer to the new school being built?
Those of you who know me, I hate making decisions. This one is about to kill me.
*I just spent a good chunk of time catching up with blogs. Now it is time to catch up on tv. THEN this weekend I will catch you up with my weekend!
What Do You Speak?
Your Linguistic Profile:
60% General American English
5% Upper Midwestern
I grabbed this from NWG. I have done this before and am always surprised. I guess marrying a Canadian and moving out of the South, my Dixie isn't as strong as it should be.
