Book Review

All of you know my nice stack of books that I have. The stack drives me nuts. I feel like I have years of reading there; yet, I continue to add book after book. I can't help myself. I love to have the possible read ready and available.

I used to read ALL THE TIME. But TiVo corrupted me.

I have so many books started. I will read, put it down. Pick up a new book, put it down. I have too many books started. Some I am right in the middle. Others, just the first couple of chapters. When I go to pick them up again, after putting them down, I remember it all. Each story floods back to me. Each character reappears in my head.

The other day, while hanging out with K, we came across a book in the book store. K told me that I HAD to read it. I totally trust her opinion and made the purchace. She told me that it was one of her favorite reads. I knew right then that it had to be really good.

The book was The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. My first thought was, "Science Fiction, NOPE. I don't do that." As I began to read I became intranced. It moved me. I didn't want to let it go.

I made an effort to read a little every day. Some days it was a huge chunk. Other days just a page or two. As I really began to get deap into the book, each chunk began to get longer.

I can't really tell you about the book. I couldn't do it justice. Grumps really wanted me to share a little of the story with him. But as I began to tell the story, it just sounded stupid. I told him that he had to trust me.

Today as I came to an end, I was very sad. I wanted to finish it because it was truly amazing. A story about the heart. Then again, I knew that when I finished it, the story would be over. I love that about reading. I wanted more. So I am going to leave this book on my sidebar for awhile. I just can't let it go quite yet. But do trust me, it is a book worth reading. It will haunt you. It will drive you crazy. It will move you the most.

Let me know what you think about it if you have or do read it.

I'll pick it up the next time I go to Chapters. Can't wait to start reading it.
I really hope you will like it. What am I saying? I KNOW that you will love it!
lol If you liked it. I will like it! :)
My sil is totally in love with this book! She just couldn't stop raving about it when she read it. I haven't read it myself, but I know she really enjoyed it.
I have heard such GOOD things about this book! Good to know you recommend it, now I'll have to visit the library and check it out...
I LOVED this book. So good, SO unique. I read it like you, slow ... b/c I wanted to savour it. I didn't want it to end. My sil, read it in 2 days. And it's fat!

Sunny, you really should get into Diana Gabaldon. LOVE HER!!! I have another blog in progress all about her Outlander series.

Snapshots, if you don't want to buy it, you can borrow my copy.
This is one of my favorite books EVER!

LOVE it!

So unique, moving, well-written, believable~even though it shouldn't be....I could go on~but won't! ;-)

I hope no one attempts to make a move out of it~they won't be able to do it justice....
Those who haven't read it, READ IT. Those who have, I am so glad you are there with me on just how good it was.
