Taking A Break

I haven't been very loyal to this blog. I have been blogging more on My Journey's Blog. I have just gotten to the point where keeping up 2 blogs is too much for me right now.

I won't stop reading yours. You will still see my face around the blog world but just not here for right now.

My Kids

Are truly precious!

Every day we say the Pledge. We have talked about being respectful and all that jazz. Every day we also sing a patriotic song. Today we sang the National Anthem. They sing it with the most amazing little voices. They get excited when they see it is the song for the day.

It just makes me love my country for our freedom!

A Needed Day

Having a day off was PERFECT!

We slept in late.

I finished Angels and Demons. Not the greatest book by the way.

I watched tv and played on the computer.

Grumps planted tulip bulbs. Yes, he is my little gardener.

We went on a bike ride. It is my new little hobby. Okay, not a hobby but I finally bought a bike. I actually enjoy it. EXCEPT Grumps is in such amazing shape that he makes me look like a lump.

We enjoyed a good homemade dinner out on the deck. The conversation was perfect and so was my wine. I felt so connected with Grumps.

Now I am back in bed enjoying more tv and computer time. Cookies are in the oven. Grumps will be heading to work.

I am ready for the week.

I Am Afraid

Do you think he is for real?

What is up with the musicians' heads covered?

I am a little afraid!

The Backpack

My classroom has been described as a mini United Nations. It seems that every culture and people are represented. Because of that I have a problem.

I sit working at my 'desk' and smell an AWFUL smell. This goes on for weeks. I have figured out the smell but don't know what to do about it.

A curry smelling backpack.

I like the smell of curry being cooked at dinner time. I don't like the smell of curry coating a backpack.

The other day I thought I was going to just going to gag. I couldn't take it any longer. I decided to handle this little problem.

I pulled out the Febreeze and sprayed ALL the backpacks. The problem is solved for now at least.

Oh that reminds me of the awful smell that I couldn't get rid off 2 years ago. It smelled like a dead animal. One day I let my nose do some sniffing and found where the smell was the strongest. I found a tupperware container. I was afraid. I began to open it and realized that it was my students snack from weeks ago. It was Vietnamese food! I almost threw up!!!

Top Model

Anyone watching?

Anyone sick of Tyra yet?

Anyone giggling on the inside because she is not rail thin anymore?

Oh I am to all of the above!!!

My Dentist

I actually had fun with my dentist yesterday. She was fun to talk too. She treated like an equal which was nice.

BUT is there a reason why when she dumbed me she also had to numb my throat and tongue? It took forever to wear off.

I love the white fillings that they give now. They make my teeth look so pretty BUT they sure make my teeth sensitive. I woke up with my tooth hurting. NOT FUN!

I hope I am done with the dentist. Maybe I should truly start to floss. Cavities really aren't fun or cheap!

miss little chicken

I have decided that I need to really get my crazy body back into shape.

I am trying to cut out bad foods or atleast limited my consumption of them.

The biggest change has been getting up a little earlier for a walk/run.

I wake up, turn on the news, and get my workout clothes. Itsy gets all excited as soon as she sees my tennis shoes on my feet.

It is super dark in my neighborhood. We really only have a couple of street lights. So I take my little white fluff of a dog to guard me. She is such a chicken.

We come to the darkest part of our walk and she refuses to move. I am TICKED! I got up early to walk not drag a dog.

I thought that I would give her one more chance. I believed that she would be better this time. We start on our walk and she only makes it half way down the side walk when she decides to dig and and completely stop. DOGS shouldn't decide when they go and where they go on a walk.

I drug her little butt right back to the house. Forget it! I will NOT give her another chance.
